5th Week of Summer

Thought you would like to know how our Pets (birds) are doing.
I think they are bigger then their parents. All the Mom and Dad do is find food for them.
This last week the birds are starting to stick their heads out to see what is going on.
Yesterday, we find this baby bird on the ground. The Mom and Dad were trying to figure out how to get the bird back in the nest. It was quite intersting to see them worry about their baby. They would go talk to the baby bird (probably tell the bird what to do) and then the Mom and Dad would talk to each other. We finally got a shovel and put the bird back in the house.

I can't believe it is already Thursday and the 5th week of summer is almost over. The summer is going by quickly!!!!
What have the Shaw's been up to this week? We have been hanging out at home mostly and enjoying the cool weather. We went swimming at the pool, went to the circle park, went to see Aqufier Man (a Magican that does water tricks), and went to Lincoln park to collect insects. We found a bunch of dragonflies. Plus I am still painting.

We have no pictures of the bride and groom. It was a beautiful reception and we had a great time.

We have had a busy week this week. We have had company all week. Grandpa and Grandma Shaw, Uncle Bill, Aunt Sonia, Great Grandma Shaw plus more to come. We saw a lot of the Chris's cousins at the wedding. It was fun to chase up with everyone. We also had Day Camp, went to Round Rock beach again, East Beach, and Grandpa Bob has been building a cabinet. What a great week!!!

DAY CAMP---

Thomas had a wonderful time at Cub Camp. I asked him what was his favorite thing he did. . . He said that would be hard to decide. Then he answered Archery, BB Guns, Rockets, and Field Games (basically everything). It was really fun to see Thomas really enjoy day camp.

Lizzy hanging out on a log
Thomas climbing the cliffs

Our collection of rocks

Today we went to round rock beach. I have been hearing for about a year there is a beach on the Olympic Pennisula were there are round rocks like a baseball. I finally got directions to the beach and we were able to find round rocks, rocks that crumbled in your hands, weird rocks that are layers ovals, holey rocks, purple, red, black and white rocks. Anyway, it was really fun.

3rd week of Summer

This morning I woke up and found Lizzy like this.
She drew with markers all over her face and legs.
Hollywood Beach---Tried to make turtle in the sand

80 degree weather----Finally have summer

Love summer

This week we have all sorts of weather. July 4th was in the 50's and today is 85 degree. We have been busy doing lots of summer stuff---We attacked Chris with water balloons, painted blue in the hallway and white on the ceiling, saw dancing pigs (they did all sorts of tricks), went to round rock beach (really Murdock Beach) Hollywood beach, made cool fused glass project (will show once they have been fused) and a lot more.

July 4th Celebration

Henry with a Roman Candle (he actually got burned on his face----We tease him now because he looks like Zuko)
What is better then lighting your own fireworks. The boys had a blast!!!

Lizzy and Cami hanging out

Since probably most of you will never come to our house on the 4th I thought I would show you my favorite part of the 4th of July Parade----Coast Guard Helicopter!!!!!

Henry at the parade.

We had a wonderful weekend. We went to a ward breakfast--- rode our bikes and played Kickball. The boys went fishing again but had no luck (they were all in a bad mood when they came home---the fish took all their spinners). And of course we painted some more!!!!

2nd Week of Summer

The tent the boys made
Sugar cookies (can you believe Lizzy likes to wear her swimsuit in cold weather)
Lizzy and her friend Elena at Captain Arrr

Painting for family night

It looks like they are up to no good

We have had a great week doing summer things even though my heater is still on. We went swimming, gone to the park (Thomas got sick on the Tire swing), pick strawberries, went to Captain Arrrr play at the library, and today the kids made a tent and sugar cookies. Yes, I think this is the first time Lizzy has made sugar cookies in her life. Plus I have been painting our family room. The family room looks wonderful even though Henry said it looked like diarraha poop and Chris said his grandma had this color a long time ago.

OMC Picnic

Tug-of-war
Prizes, Prizes, Prizes

Dizzy Henry

Lizzy on her first pony ride

Every year for the last couple Chris' work has a family picnic which is totally awesome. They have little kids rides, games for all ages and all you can eat ice cream and Hamburgers. The kids had a great time and were totally worn out afterwards.
