Hanging Out

Eli killing Henry with the sword. Eli loved the swords and guns while he was here.

Eli and Lizzy singing Jingle Bells. After the igloos Eli went to the piano and sang Jingle Bells for probably a good 20 minutes. It was so funny.
Lizzy and Annika watching Sleeping Beauty together.

Bionicles---Thomas put them all together (how they were suppose to be) and then took them apart and made a huge spider.

Annika swining.
We also played the Wii a lot but I don't have any pictures of that yet. Henry went on a bike ride with his Dad and Uncle Andy. I hear he is very fast and I will have to start riding a bike instead of walking. We had a wonderful Christmas and were so glad that Ben, Sarah, Eli, Annika and Uncle Andy came to share the Holidays with us.

We had a wonderful time Christmas day. We hung out all day with each other, had pizza and played the Wii. It was very fun.

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth

Henry lost his first tooth yesterday. He will not put the tooth under his pillow because he is waiting for Christmas Eve. He thinks it would be funny if Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy run into each other.

Here comes Santa

Lizzy would not move or say anything. Lizzy was so scared. She did smile at Santa when she got off and was on her way out.

Henry said he wanted a remote control about as big as his arms are long.

Thomas said he wanted an G-engine rocket and an AT-AT Lego.

We went and saw Santa last week so we are just waiting for the big box to arrive.

AR Points

Thomas has 12 AR points. You earn them by reading books and taking tests. He has read over 20 books. Way to go Thomas!!!!

Merry Christmas

We always take a picture of the kids in Santa's hat.
This is my favorite thing I did this year for Christmas Decorations. I put all Thomas and Henry's Christmas art in one place and they look great. Can't wait for some from Lizzy.

The hole

The dirt felt like walking on top of a sponge.
Lizzy stood there for a couple of minutes until dirt hit her.

Working hard

Yeah, we can actually say we have had a boat floating in our yard.

Well, I was talking to Mom and I couldn't remember what we did this weekend. I remember now and here it is. The boys filled in the hole. Lizzy and I watched. Lizzy didn't like getting dirt all over her. It took them about 3 to 4 hours to finish it. Now, I don't have to worry about lost kids.
We also went through a lot of our stuff and got rid of a bunch of it. (Sometimes it is good when things break---thanks water heater, dryer and so forth) We took one trip to the Goodwill and one to the dump. It feels great to get rid of all the extra stuff. Now I have no couches in the living room but have lots of room to play. YEAH!!!!

Les Miserables

I finished the book finally. So now I am done with my 2009 goals which were doing a blog, reading Gone with the Wind and Les Miserables.
I really enjoyed reading this book and actually liked all the detailed. I actually was complaining at one point saying he didn't give me enough information.

I will not be as good as Andy giving a book detail but I will give you some of my favorite quotes

"He loved books, those undemanding but faithful friends"
"how can you hold back when you have a chance to do good?"
". . . half animal, half angelic, which is the quality of motherhood."
"I should find it hard to give up eating with silver" (got my new silverware because of it)
"The circumstances of happiness are not enough, there must also be peace of mind"
"If earthly eyes possessed this power of seeing into the hearts of another, we would judge men far more surely by their dreams than by their thoughts"

Anyway, though it was wonderful. I guess if you want to talk more about it give me a call.

1st Pack Meeting

Relay Race for knot tying
Boys receiving their segment awards

Bobcat award

Thomas went to his first pack meeting. I figure I have another 60 or so to go. Thomas was awesome last night. He got his Bobcat, 2 Belt buckles (soccer, and chess), and 3 segments (American Flag, knot tying and physical Fitness). Way to Go!!!!

Rain, Rain and more rain

Our pond in the backyard (yes my house is very muddy)
Aren't they cute

Splashing in the puddles

If you look at Thomas, he has a shovel to show you how deep the hole they have dug. In the middle it is much deeper.

Random fun pictures

Henry came home and drew and colored this picture. He did an awesome job. He will not let me have it but he said I could take a picture.
Lizzy loves her pull-ups (even though she doesn't need them). Anything with Cinderella on it she loves.

Chris and Henry taking pictures of themselves.

We have been doing just great this last week. It has rained and rained and rained. Our big hole in the back yard has turned into a pond and almost overflowed . We thought we would put some fish in it.

Fishing with his new fishing pole

Thomas' first cast
Waiting and waiting (after two and half hours we left cold but happy)

Lizzy fishing

Waiting and more waiting

Keep on trying, trying trying

Thomas and the family have gone fishing twice now at the Carrie Blake Lake and we haven't even got a bite. Thomas has had a fun time fishing and learning the basics. He even wants to go back and get those fish that have out smarted him.

The boys had a fun time gathering up the leaves and jumping in them.

Liquid Sunshine

This is what we call liquid sunshine. You can't tell it is pouring rain and hasn't stopped raining since Wednesday night. But it seems like we always see the sunshine wither it is raining or not.

Great picture of Mr. Henry

Lizzy came inside after trick and treating, sat down and was so cute.

Downtown trick and treating

Thomas didn't know his Dad was in the picture.

Halloween was a bust for me this year. But the children still had fun going trick and treating. Here are some cute pictures of them in the Halloween attire.
