Experiments

We have been trying to make crystals. We have done two experiments and both have not been great. The first one we used charcoal. There were little crystals but not as big as we would have like.

The second experiment we tried making sugar crystals. It has been a little better. You can see some forming on the picture below. I think I am going to leave this jars out for a couple of months and see what happens. (We need to have some days without rain).

Anyway, we have one more experiment we are going to try out. If you have any recipes for growing crystals we would love to try them.

Henry the Cub Scout

Henry got to start a couple of months early. (There are advantages of having your mother as the den leader)!!!!
Henry got his Bobcat on Friday. He thought pack meeting was really fun!!!!

The best part about pack meeting is the treats at the end.

Grandma's Visit

Well, I took NO pictures while grandma was here----So you will have to imagine what we did. We hung out. We played games and games and even more games. Grandma taught Henry how to play chess. Then the boys couldn't get enough playing time after that. We also played a couple of new games we got for Christmas. It was great!!!!! We also went for a couple of walks and ate out a couple of times. It was really nice and relaxing. The boys said their favorite part was playing games and Lizzy loved helping Grandma!!!!

This week we have been busy going here and there. It seems like I haven't been home. And when I am home I am cooking meals.
